Liebster Award | Week 7

5th October- 11th October 2015

Sup. I was nominated by The Small Quiet One to do the Liebster Award. I was going to post this as a separate post but to spice things up I thought that I’d do it as one of my weekly post thingies. Yes I said ‘spice’, and no there are no pumpkin spice lattes involved.

  1. Make a post thanking the person who nominated you and include the Liebster Award sticker in the post.
  2. Nominate between 5 and 10 bloggers who have under 200 followers and notify them on one of their posts.
  3. Answer the 11 questions your nominator gives you.
  4. Create 11 new questions or use the same ones for your nominees.

The Small Quiet One’s Questions:

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

Ehm, I honestly don’t know. I’d like to change my eyelashes. My eyelashes are really short and I realised that they’re kinda weird too. They don’t really grow in a straight line on my eyelid if that makes any sense at all? Or maybe all eyelashes are like that, who knows.

How do you feel about your education system?

Asdfghjkl. Look, I could complain my education system all day but lets try to stay somewhat positive. I’m not a big fan of it. However, my education system is kinda going in the right direction, or so I think anyways.  It bewilders me how every country has very different education systems. As some of you may know, I spent a year abroad in The Netherlands as an exchange student. Their education system was oh so very different than the one here in Ireland. Continuous assessment in my opinion would be more beneficial for both students and teachers. But this whole matter is a blog post for another day.

What do you look for in a best friend?

This question made me think because I don’t “look” for anything obvious in a best friend. From the best friends that I do have, I can say that they’re all very different. But the one thing that they have in common is that I can trust them and they’re always there for me when I need them (and when I don’t need them). Plus, having a best friend is someone who you can annoy without them getting angry at you.

What’s your favourite season?

Hmm… I like all of the four seasons? I like spring because my birthday is in spring and all the leaping lambs in the fields. I like summer because the weather is warm (sometimes) and I get to wear shorts. Who doesn’t love shorts? One thing I dislike about summer in particular is my hayfever, but if I’m having a good time I can get over it. Autumn has all the pretty rustic colours. It’s not warm, but it’s not too cold either.  The leaves are falling and the landscape changes. Winter involves Christmas and two weeks off school. Jeans and hoodies are totally acceptable in winter, hoodies are bae.

Why did you start blogging?

I used to make YouTube videos quite frequently (ish) but with exams and all the other things I do, I felt like I wouldn’t have time to film, edit and upload videos as often this year. Therefore I started blogging (first post) without knowing what I was going to blog about until I started this series type of thingy called The End Of An Era.

What is your happiest memory?

Remember when I said “I honestly don’t know” whilst answering the first question? Well I lied. This time I honestly don’t know. I’ve been alive for exactly 17 and a half years today, and during that time I’ve made so many happy memories. Which memory was the happiest of them all? Me no knows.

What are your hobbies/interests?

My current hobbies are Ventures (Scouting) and Comhairle na nÓg. Does making YouTube videos and typing the odd blog post count as a hobby? Watching YouTube videos and tweeting should be hobbies too, js. My interests are idk. A lot of things interest me, but whether I’d consider them interests or not, I don’t know.

What is your favourite social media site/app?

I don’t have a favourite as I could easily replace one with another. My most frequently used apps are Facebook Messenger, Twitter, Snapchat and YouTube.

What is your favourite book? Why?

I have a tendency to usually like every book I read. That book automatically becomes my new favourite book until a read a new book which then becomes the new favourite.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

This is completely unrelated but I like the way how my answers have suddenly started decreasing in size. In 10 years time I’ll be 27 and a half. Wow, that’s old. Well I’d like to have a pet pig. Be well finished with uni. Have a job that I enjoy. I’d hope to have travelled the world by then. I’d hopefully still be making YouTube videos and blogging (or the equivalent in 2025). So much can change within a couple of months, let alone 10 years. 10 years ago I was 7 and I was still in primary school. I have changed so much the past 10 years and inevitably I’ll change even more the next 10 years.

What are your favourite posts to write/read?

I’m really enjoying these weekly posts. I like to write them, however I’m pretty sure that nobody really likes to read them. Or maybe they do, who knows? I liked writing this post in particular, it’s different than the others.

My Questions:

  1. What is your first memory?
  2. If you could be any animal, what animal would you be? Why?
  3. What’s your favourite movie?
  4. What is your opinion on selfie sticks?
  5. How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
  6. What sense would you not like to have to live without?
  7. What drink do you order in Starbucks?
  8. Favourite mode of public transport? Why?
  9. What motivates you in life?
  10. How many days old are you?
  11. Where is your favourite place to visit? Why?

Once again thanks to The Small Quiet One for nominating me! I’m not going to lie, I don’t know many bloggers and I feel kinda weird nominating people who’s blogs I read yet I don’t actually know them in person? If that makes any sense?

However, I will nominate four people:

Colin Tonge

Simplifying Things

The Clique

Have fun answering my amazing questions.

I’ll have proper blog post next week (I think) but in the mean time go check out the above mentioned blogs!
